Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 1.4% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 948,170 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,329 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,565 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 953,664 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a rise of 1.5% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for around 30.3% of total generation, while imported coal and lignite plants contributed 25.2% and 12.6%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 7,314 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 1,829 megawatt-hours.
