Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 0.01% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 904,707 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 43,305 megawatt-hours at 15.00 local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,646 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 897,899 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking an increase of 0.01% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 27.4% of total generation, while imported coal and hydro power plants contributed 16.3% and 16.1%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 11,525 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 18,333 megawatt-hours.
