Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased around 1.22% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,093,393 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 51,749 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 36,819 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,096,011 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a fall of about 1.29% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas accounted for 25.9% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 21.8% and 12.5%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 6,299 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 3,687 megawatt-hours.
