Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 3.43% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 902,259 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 43,196 megawatt-hours at 15.00 local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,547 megawatt-hours at 06.00 local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 895,138 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking an increase of 19.8% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from hydro power plants constituted 18.8% of total generation, while imported coal and natural gas plants contributed 18.2% and 16.6%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 13,284 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 20,406 megawatt-hours.
