Turkiye's daily electricity consumption decreased by 4.8% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 893,936 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 41,791 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,223 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 894,457 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 4.7% decrease compared to Friday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 32.4% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 22.9% while lignite plants comprised 13.9%.
On Saturday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 17,117 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 16,870 megawatt-hours.
