Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 0.44% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,016,413 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 49,144 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,841 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,031,624 megawatt-hours on Wednesday marking a rise of 0.44% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 31% of total generation, while imported coal and hydropower plants contributed 23.4% and 14.8%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 15,815 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 484 megawatt-hours.
