Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased around 1.3% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 916,092 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 43,551 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,267 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 915,792 megawatt-hours on Friday, decreasing around 1.6% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for around 24% of total generation, while wind and natural gas plants contributed 21.8% and 16.7%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 4,875 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,175 megawatt-hours.
