The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Thursday will be 3,400 Turkish liras at 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. (0500 and 1400 GMT), according to official figures released Wednesday.
The lowest rate was set at 249.99 liras at 11 p.m. local time (2000 GMT), the data showed.
The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Wednesday's electricity market trade volume showed a decrease of 15.5% to around 1.41 billion liras compared to Tuesday.
The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 2,294.30 liras and 2,323.72 liras, respectively.
The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Wednesday was set 3,400 Turkish liras at 8 a.m., 9 a.m. and between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. local time (0500, 0600, 1400-1600 GMT), while the lowest was set at 1,614.90 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.
US$1 equals 43.50 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Wednesday.
