Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased 6.1% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 933,614 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 43,801 megawatt-hours at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,679 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 945,627 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking an increase of 5.5% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 19.6% of total generation, while natural gas and wind plants contributed 17.9% and 16.3%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 14,212 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 2,277 megawatt-hours.
