Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 3.17% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,107,379 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 52,508 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 36,065 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,110,478 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of about 3.16% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from imported natural gas accounted for 27.2% of total generation, while imported coal and solar plants contributed 21.5% and 11.5%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 5,797 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 2,747 megawatt-hours.
