Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 1.8% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,024,479 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 48,083 megawatt-hours at 5 p.m. local time (1400 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,027 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,017,755 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of about 1.7% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for around 26.2% of total generation, while imported coal plants and solar plants contributed 22.1% and 12.1%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 7,056 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 13,784 megawatt-hours.
