Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye increased by 0.68% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 867,157 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 40,923 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,153 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 864,225 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking an increase of 0.63% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from hydropower plants constituted 21.1% of total generation, while natural gas plants and imported coal plants contributed 17.3% and 14.6%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 12,358 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 15,292 megawatt-hours.
