Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased around 0.5% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,107,001 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 52,448 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 36,868 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,110,365 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a fall of about 0.5% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas accounted for 23.2% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 21.8% and 15%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 8,159 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 4,793 megawatt-hours.
