Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 0.3% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,111,354 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 52,489 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 36,662 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,114,760 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a rise of about 0.4% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas accounted for 23.9% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 21.2% and 15.3%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 6,136 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 2,842 megawatt-hours.
