Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye increased by 4.43% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,008,923 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 49,554 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,501 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,007,335 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a 3.99% increase compared to Monday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 33.4% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 20.6 % while lignite plants comprised 13.6%.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 14,557 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 16,373 megawatt-hours.
