Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 0.2% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 905,498 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,952 megawatt-hours at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,004 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 904,062 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a rise of about 0.3% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for around 26.2% of total generation, while imported coal and solar plants contributed 25.9% and 12.7%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 6,558 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 8,673 megawatt-hours.
