Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye decreased by 1.14% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 967,636 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,392 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,837 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 962,421 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a 1.51% decrease compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 22.2% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 19.6% while wind plants comprised 16.2%.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 10,118 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 12,419 megawatt-hours.
