Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased around 0.92% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,090,636 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 50,806 megawatt-hours at 5 p.m. local time (1400 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 37,122 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,090,636 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a rise of about 1% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 23.9% of total generation, while imported coal and lignite plants contributed 22.2% and 11%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 6,250 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 4,891 megawatt-hours.
