Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 15.4% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 984,104 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 46,624 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), TEIAS data showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 32,460 megawatt-hours at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 993,302 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking an increase of about 15.1% compared to the previous day.
Electricity generation from dam-based hydropower plants accounted for around 22.6% of total production, while wind and solar plants contributed 21.2% and 15.8%, respectively.
On Monday, the country's electricity exports totaled 13,092 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 3,837 megawatt-hours.
