Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 1.8% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,002,259 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 46,507 megawatt-hours at 10 a.m. local time (0700 GMT), TEIAS data showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 35,561 megawatt-hours at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,008,495 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking an increase of about 1.5% compared to the previous day.
Electricity generation from dam-based hydropower plants accounted for around 23.7% of total production, while solar and imported coal plants contributed 16.2% and 15.7%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 11,338 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,110 megawatt-hours.
