Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 0.8% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,006,976 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,019 megawatt-hours at 10 a.m. local time (0700 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 35,255 megawatt-hours at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 989,728 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a decrease of 2.9% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from dam-based hydropower plants accounted for around 27.6% of total generation, while imported coal and lignite plants contributed 21.8% and 10.4%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 8,277 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,617 megawatt-hours.
