Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 5.5% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,160,991 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 53,151 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 39,820 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,170,566 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a fall of about 5.3% compared to Friday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 24.3% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 20.6% and 16.4%, respectively.
On Saturday, the country's electricity exports totaled 17,101 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 7,476 megawatt-hours.
