Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 1.3% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,012,824 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,608 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,838 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,024,246 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a fall of 1.2% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from wind power plants accounted for around 24.9% of total generation, while imported coal and natural gas plants contributed 22% and 20%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 13,404 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 1,982 megawatt-hours.
