Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 1.21% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 905,688 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,786 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,737 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 878,423 megawatt-hours on Thursday marking a decrease of 1.62% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 26% of total generation, while wind plants and lignite plants contributed 20.3% and 14.7% respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 3,764 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 27,598 megawatt-hours.
