Turkiye's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.37% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 942,677 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,034 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,586 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 943,962 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 0.27% decrease compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 25.1% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 19.6% while wind plants comprised 16.7%.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 10,239 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 9,498 megawatt-hours.
