Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 3.4% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,010,422 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 49,265 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,889 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,017,007 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of 3.2% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for around 26.8% of total generation, while imported coal and wind contributed 21.6% and 15.8%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 8,425 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 1,840 megawatt-hours.
