Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 1.4% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,038,452 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 48,201 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 35,266 megawatt-hours at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,041,144 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking an increase of 1.6% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from hydroelectric plants accounted for around 24.6% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 19.5% and 18%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 8,137 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,551 megawatt-hours.
