Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 0.9% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,008,901 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,199 megawatt-hours at 10 a.m. local time (0700 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 35,131 megawatt-hours at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,013,505 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a decrease of 0.7% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from hydroelectric plants accounted for around 22.4% of total generation, while imported coal and run-of-river hydroelectric plants contributed 20.4% and 11.7%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 9,320 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 4,657 megawatt-hours.
