Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 0.3% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 990,709 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,990 megawatt-hours at 10 a.m. local time (0700 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 34,752 megawatt-hours at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 995,652 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking an increase of 0.4% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from hydroelectric plants accounted for around 24.6% of total generation, while imported coal and solar plants contributed 19.3% and 11.4%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 7,772 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 2,935 megawatt-hours.
