Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 0.07% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,016,43 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 48,058 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,699 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,023,979 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking an increase of 0.07% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from wind energy accounted for around 22.7% of total generation, while imported coal plants and dam-based hydropower plants contributed 19.9% and 15.4%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 12,159 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 4,632 megawatt-hours.
