Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 01.% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,015,595 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 49,006 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,409 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,021,961 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a decrease of 0.2% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for around 21.5% of total generation, while wind and dammed hydro contributed 20.8% and 17.5%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 12,125 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,768 megawatt-hours.
