Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 2.3% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,035,625 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 49,644 megawatt-hours at 12 a.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,858 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,050,102 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of about 2.3% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for around 21.4% of total generation, while wind and natural gas plants contributed 20.7% and 19.9%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 18,779 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 4,302 megawatt-hours.
