Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 3.93% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 995,679 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 50,710 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33.093 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,010,77 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a decrease of 3.89% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for around 26.3% of total generation, while imported coal and wind contributed 23.6% and 16.7%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 15,504 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 185 megawatt-hours.
