Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 3.03% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 990,182 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,492 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,134 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,000,470 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a decrease of 2.9% compared to Friday.
Electricity production from wind energy plants accounted for around 25.8% of total generation, while imported coal and natural gas plants contributed 23.4% and 18.7%, respectively.
On Saturday, the country's electricity exports totaled 10,573 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 285 megawatt-hours.
