Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased around 10.2% on Sunday compared to the previous day, totaling 970,771 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 46,052 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 34,292 megawatt-hours at 8 a.m. local time (0500 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 988,023 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a fall of about 10% compared to Saturday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 22.6% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 21.6% and 14.2%, respectively.
On Sunday, the country's electricity exports totaled 22,216 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 4,966 megawatt-hours.
