Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 4.27% to 846,453 megawatt-hours on Saturday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 20.00 local time with 39,688 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest point of 29,049 megawatt-hours at 06.00.
Total electricity production reached 844,895 megawatt-hours on Saturday with a 4.32% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from hydroelectricity plants at 215,040 megawatt-hours. Imported coal and natural gas plants followed with 166,603 megawatt-hours and 124,987 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,859 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 10,417 megawatt-hours.
