Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased 11.4% on Thursday, compared to the previous day, totaling 824,098 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 38,636 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 28,064 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 824,117 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a decrease of 10.2% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from wind plants constituted 23.1% of total generation, while hydroelectricity and river plants contributed 17% and 12.6%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,721 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 6,741 megawatt-hours.
