Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased around 0.2% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 992,928 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 48,411 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,716 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 999,975 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking an increase of 0.27% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas accounted for around 22.8% of total generation, while imported coal plants and wind energy plants contributed 22.5% and 18.2%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 7,288 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 246 megawatt-hours.
