Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased around 10.7% on Sunday compared to the previous day, totaling 841,798 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Monday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 41,117 megawatt-hours at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,100 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 853,073 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a fall of 10.4% compared to Saturday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for around 25.8% of total generation, while natural gas and wind contributed 19.7% and 14.7%, respectively.
On Sunday, the country's electricity exports totaled 11,383 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 126 megawatt-hours.
