Germany-based Nordex Group has secured a new order in Türkiye for the installation of 14 wind turbines with a total capacity of 90 megawatts (MW).
According to a company statement on Thursday, the group will deliver and install 14 N163/6.X turbines for the R24-Gurun wind energy project in the Gurun district of central Sivas.
The project, developed by ADY Akdeniz Ruzgar Enerjisi Uretim, marks the company's first investment in wind energy.
Under the agreement, Nordex will also provide premium service for the turbines for a period of 10 years.
The company will supply Delta4000 turbines in a cold climate version and install them on tubular steel towers with a hub height of 113 meters.
Nordex has been the market leader in Türkiye since 2017, with a market share of more than 31%.
The Nordex Group has installed around 57 gigawatts of wind power capacity in more than 40 countries and generated consolidated sales of €7.3 billion in 2024.
The company employs over 10,400 people worldwide, with manufacturing facilities in Germany, Spain, Brazil, India and the US.
This first order highlights "Nordex Group's continued expansion in Türkiye and our dedication to supporting new players in the renewable energy sector with our technology," says Ender Ozatay, vice president region Türkiye & Middle East.
