Turkiye's wind electricity generation hits an all-time record on Monday, generating 25% of total power, according to data from Turkiye's Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.
The country produced 203,069 megawatt-hours (MWh) of electricity from wind farms on Monday, according to data provided by TEIAS.
The latest record was made on April 2, when the country produced 204,357 MWh of electricity from wind farms.
Imported coal and lignite plants followed as the biggest sources of power generation at 24.7% and 14.9%, respectively.
Daily electricity production totaled 817,296 megawatt-hours on Monday, while daily electricity consumption amounted to 826,281 megawatt-hours.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 40,116 megawatt-hours at noon local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 25,690 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
On Monday, Turkiye's electricity exports amounted to 9,591 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 18,576 megawatt-hours.
