Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 0.3% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,181,557 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 55,439 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 39,204 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,198,026 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking drop of about %0.2 compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 25.2% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 20% and 15.1%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 22,925 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 6,456 megawatt-hours.
