Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 0.1% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 916,053 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 43,742 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,175 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 920,208 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, decreasing about 0.2% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for around 25.9% of total generation, while natural gas and wind contributed 22.5% and 12.9%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 8,316 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 4,218 megawatt-hours.
