Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 0.5% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 994,953 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 48,298 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,187 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,002,688 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking an increase of 0.4% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas accounted for around 31.9% of total generation, while imported coal plants and lignite plants contributed 22.6% and 12%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 7,865 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 174 megawatt-hours.
