Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased around 10.4% on Sunday compared to the previous day, totaling 810,982 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Monday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 39,850 megawatt-hours at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,755 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 819,041 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a fall of 10.1% compared to Saturday.
Electricity production from imported coal accounted for around 26.6% of total generation, while natural gas plants and lignite plants contributed 21.4% and 13.2%, respectively.
On Sunday, the country's electricity exports totaled 10,643 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 2,603 megawatt-hours.
