Forrestania Resources completed its recent British Hill drilling program, finishing eight reverse circulation (RC) drill holes totaling 1,858 meters that confirmed gold mineralisation extends up dip to the east and returned multiple high-grade gold intersections of up to 22.98 grams per tonne (g/t), the company said Friday.
Among the best results, drill hole 26BHRC013 returned 1 metre grading 22.98 g/t from 141 metres, along with 4 metres grading 7.46 g/t from 124 metres, including 1 metre at 22.76 g/t.
Drill hole 26BHRC015 intersected 7 metres grading 5.69 g/t from surface, including 1 metre at 17.89 g/t, as well as 4 metres grading 4.40 g/t from 277 metres, including 1 metre at 10.16 g/t. Drill hole 26BHRC016 returned 2 metres grading 7.66 g/t from 274 metres, including 1 metre at 14.21 g/t, while another interval in 26BHRC015 recorded 10 metres grading 1.72 g/t from 33 metres.
The drilling program is aimed at expanding the British Hill Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), which the company expects to update in the coming weeks.
The latest results strengthened confidence in the British Hill deposit by extending mineralisation both up dip and at depth while delivering multiple high-grade gold intersections, Forrestania Resources’ Chairman David Geraghty said.
Geraghty added that a further Program of Work (POW) is awaiting regulatory approval and that the company intends to begin additional drilling immediately once approval is granted.
“British Hill is already located on a granted Mining Lease with ore already being trucked to our Lake Johnston processing hub,” Geraghty said
“As we continue to expand the Mineral Resource Estimate over the coming weeks, we see increasing potential for British Hill to become another valuable source of ore within our regional development strategy,” he added.
