Chinese multinational wind turbine manufacturer and also the world's largest wind turbine manufacturer Goldwind has appointed Alper Kalayci as localization and supply chain manager for Türkiye, aiming to strengthen its local operations and deepen its commitment to the country's renewable energy sector, the company said on Wednesday.
Kalayci brings more than 27 years of experience in the wind energy industry, including 24 years in wind turbine component manufacturing.
In his new role, he will oversee the strategic industrialization of wind turbine components, ensure compliance with local content requirements, and lead the development of a sustainable local supply chain.
"Türkiye has enormous potential for renewable energy investments," Kalayci said in a statement.
"I am delighted to contribute to the country's energy transition and help build a strong local supply chain by combining Goldwind's global expertise with local industry. Goldwind will make a significant contribution to achieving our 2035 targets," he added
Nick Yu, general manager of Türkiye at Goldwind, said Kalayci's appointment supports the company's long-term growth strategy in the region.
"Alper Kalayci's experience and leadership are critical for our growth objectives in Türkiye," Yu said. "With this appointment, Goldwind will further strengthen its localization and industrialization strategies while continuing to create long-term value with its partners in the country."
Founded in 1998, Goldwind is one of the world's largest wind turbine manufacturers, with more than 145 gigawatts of installed capacity across 47 countries.
The company develops technologies that support the global low-carbon energy transition and promote sustainable energy independence.
