Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 0.6% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,181,217 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 55,168 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 39,241 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,196,756 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a fall of about 0.6% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 24.5% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 20% and 18.5%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 21,185 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,648 megawatt-hours.
