Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased around 0.03 % on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,132,136 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 53,091 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 37,929 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,147,659 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a fall of about 0.2% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 31.4% of total generation, while imported coal and hydropower plants contributed 20.7% and 12.5%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 19,761 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 4,249 megawatt-hours.
