The daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 0.94% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,074,604 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 50,915 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 34,967 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production reached 1,068,286 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking an increase of 5.91% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 22.5% of total generation, while imported coal plants and hydroelectric plants contributed 22.4% and 15.2%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,147 megawatt-hours, and its imports totaled 12,466 megawatt-hours.
